What is Localago exactly?
▼Localago is an experiences and tours platform for bringing together local hosts who are excited to show off their city and guests who want to experience more than just a typical tour that big tour comapnies provide.
How do I become a host?

We're currently looking for hosts in Los Angeles, San Diego, and New York City, with more cities to come in the future!
Because our priority is to showcase local experiences, hosts are expected to be individuals who are locals in their respective city, so we will not accept experiences hosted by any tour companies. Some small, local businesses may be allowed to become hosts on our platform.
What kind of experiences and tours are allowed on Localago?
▼Almost anything goes! If you want to bring guests on a food tour or on a mini yoga retreat, you can do that on Localago. The most important thing is that both hosts and guests are having a great time and are enjoying an aspect of local culture!
Some categories of experiences you can host include: sightseeing tours, food tours, lessons and courses (surfing, noodle-making, yoga, DIY soap bar, for example).
Creativity is valued on this platform, so don't be afraid to showcase unique experiences/tours!
What is the booking fee on our platform? Spoiler alert: it's zero!
▼Guests who book tours and experiences on Localago are not charged any extra fees or hidden fees like processing fees and “booking fees” by our platform.
There is also no tip or gratuity charged to guests.
Hosts set their own prices, so the price you see is the price you pay, plus any applicable taxes and fees charged by the local authorities.
How much can hosts earn on Localago?
▼The best part about being a Localago host is that you get to set your own rates!
Whether you decide to charge $20 a person or $150 a person for a premium experience is completely up to you!
As the platform, our hosting fee is 15%, which is used to keep the platform running and to provide customer service. For example, if you earned $65 after hosting an experience, your net payout will be $55.25 (after subtracting a $9.75 hosting fee).
When is the platform launch date?
▼We plan to launch by the end of 2024! There is a lot that goes into building a platform and we want to make sure everything goes smoothly once we launch.
In the meantime, we encourage all who are interested to sign up to our newsletters to stay up to date on our progress!
